Typically, there is one or two road crossings, lots of elevation changes, and some short road sections.  The mini courses are similar in nature to the full course. Access to the race site is from an oil field road.  There is a downhill part at the beginning.  From there into the race site, it is a well-traveled dirt road.  Parking and camping are free and abundant: some hard dirt, other areas are sandy.  There is a 4x4 camping area, and regular camping area.  There are plenty of good areas to watch the racing action.

The town of Farmington is within 10-15 minutes of the race site. There are many options for dinning, both sit down and chain restaurants. There is a wide variety of choices for sleeping accommodations.  In and around Farmington, there are lots of activities and historical attractions. Native American ruins, museums, and more.  Come early or stay after and enjoy a whole race weekend of fun for the entire family.
