WeBe Racing Rule Book

Race Rules

It is the Entrants', Riders', and Spectators' full responsibility to meet ALL WeBe Racing rules and regulations.

The following list of rules is only a guideline used by WeBe Racing. This list is not meant to imply that these are the only rules at a race event. All rules and infractions are subject to the discretion of the race promoters/directors.

  • If you are on a motorized bike, you must wear a helmet (track, pits, ANYWHERE).
  • If you are on a bike ANYWHERE, but the track you must be IN first gear IDLE. You must go through the active race pit area in first gear idle, or you risk disqualification.
  • If your ASSIGNED race number is not clearly marked on all three sides of your bike, you will not be allowed to start the race. The race will not be held back for you. Scoring errors will not be corrected if due to riders not properly displaying their assigned bike number.
  • Each Rider must have a unique number on their bike. Check with sign up to see what numbers are available. You MUST race with your assigned number.
  • Each rider should have the proper gear to race.  Full face moto style helmet and eye protection.  Long sleeve shirt or jersey.  Gloves.  Long pants or race pants. Boots or race boots.  Failure to comply with using the proper gear may impact your eligability to participate.
  • Electric Starters ARE allowed.  Starts are dead engine.  Race starts may vary...Lemans, backwards, boot pile...   Any start infractions will incur a 2-minute addition to the rider's overall time.
  • You must finish on the bike you start on. No switching bikes. Exceptions can be made during the TEAM race only, and only if approved by the race promoter ahead of time. Consequences include disqualification.
  • Riders are NOT allowed to carry gas anywhere except inside their machine's gas tank.
  • Absolutely no passing is allowed in the scoring schute (unless a rider goes down). Do not ride aggressively while in the clearly marked scoring lane.
  • Riders are encouraged to arrive at the START LINE 15 minutes before the start of their race. WeBe will not hold back your race if you are not ready.
  • Team races are 2 hours (checkered flag will be thrown at 2 hours). You may have 2 or 3 members per team. You must transfer your armband in the pit area.  Each rider may only ride one lap in a row.
  • Trophies will be handed out on-site, 30 minutes after being posted to allow for a protest period.  Once 30 minutes have passed and/or any protests are resolved, results become final.
  • If you suspect or see track cutting, notify track crew ASAP.
  • No track cutting.  The course is the course, unless otherwise noted at the riders meeting.  No 10'...20'...Pro line rule or variance.
  • Any violation of rules is subject to time penalties and/or disqualification.
  • Sweep crew will be wearing orange packs and/or have red flashing lights.  They will make every attempt to not affect the race in any way, but at times the crew may need to help in an emergency situation.
  • Stay out of medic's way.  Safety is more important than any race.
  • To appeal a race or points situation, please contact the race director and submit your appeal, in writing, to info@weberacing.com, within 48 hours of the completion of the race.  Include the reason and be as detailed as possible with your appeal.  Trophies cannot be corrected after the 30-minute protest period has been resolved, but results can be changed if request is submitted within the 48-hour window and deemed to be correct.
  • These rules can be changed or amended at discretion of race promoters/directors at any time.
  • Failure to follow all WeBe Racing rules can result in immediate removal from the premises.

Class/Registration Rules

  • The age that you are as of the first event date of that season, is the age that you can race that season.  See below for difference in minis and adult age groups.
  • Example:  MINIS, if you are 7 on the first day of the WeBe season, you can finish the year as a 7-year-old, even if you turn 8 during the season. You can move up in age group if you choose, but we recommend that you finish the season in the age group that you start in, if you are going for season points. A 7-year-old can race in the 8-year-old class, but an 8-year-old can only race in the 7-year-old class if they turned 8 AFTER the first event date of that season.
  • Example:  ADULTS, if you turn 60 on the first day of the season, you can race in the 60+ class. If you turn 60 THE DAY AFTER the start of the season, you can move up to the 60+ class on the date that you turn 60 BUT NOT BEFORE. We recommend that you finish the season in the age group that you start in, if you are going for season points. A 60-year-old can race in the 50+ or 60+ class but a 59-year-old CANNOT RACE IN THE 60+ CLASS UNTIL THE DAY THEY TURN 60.
  • If you begin a season in a certain age group, and age out of that group during the same season, you will be allowed to finish that season in the original class, if you choose.
  • Classes are as follows-
    • AA - Pro
    • A - Expert
    • B - Amateur
    • C - Novice
  • You must race the same classes across all different race series (if you race A in CORCS, you MUST race A with WeBe). Check with us ahead of time if there are any questions.
  • Sign up times will be posted online for each race.  Allow yourself enough time to wait in line if necessary. Do not wait until the last minute. You MUST be checked in for your race at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your race. Riders that pre-register online are still required to check in at the registration trailer to acquire their transponder and staging stickers.
  • After race results are posted, there will be a 30-minute protest period before any trophies are handed out.
  • If any protests arise during those 30 minutes, trophies will not be handed out until the protests are resolved.
  • Contact us, in writing, up to 48 hours after the event to correct any mistakes in scoring.
  • However, we can fix results up to 48 hours later, but trophies can’t be corrected at that time.
  • You must have a Moto-Tally transponder to race with WeBe. We can use a Moto-Tally transponder from another series, or you can purchase one from us for $5. Our transponders can also be used with other series who score using Moto-Tally.
  • Co-Sanctioned classes are only available during co-sanctioned events.  No WeBe Points are earned for those classes.
  • Riders may Move UP to a higher-class level (i.e. up from B to A) at any time.
  • Riders may not ride in an AGE group that is above their age (i.e. you may not race the 40 class if you are 38). ID's can and will be regularly checked at sign up.
  • If a rider wishes to move down in a class (i.e. down from B to C), he/she must submit a letter to the race director explaining the reason for the request and all results which pertain to the situation. Failure to gain official approval BEFORE moving down will result in loss of points for 1 race OR entire season (based on discretion of race director).
  • Class advancement works as follows:
  • A CLASS-If a rider wins 250 A or Open A, a lateral move can be made to the other class.  If the same rider wins each class in two consecutive years, they must move up to Pro.  In the 30+, 40+, 50+ classes if a rider wins two years in a row, they must move to the Pro, Vet Open, or lower aged class.
  • B CLASS-If a rider wins 250 B or Open B, a lateral move can be made to the other class.  If the same rider wins each class in two consecutive years, they must move up to the A CLASS.  In the 30+, 40+, 50+ classes if a rider wins two years in a row, they must move to the A CLASS, or lower aged class.
  • C CLASS-If a rider wins 250 C or Open C, a lateral move can be made to the other class.  If the same rider wins each class in two consecutive years, they must move up to the B CLASS.  In the 30+, 40+, 50+ classes if a rider wins two years in a row, they must move to the B CLASS, or lower aged class.
  • Women Beginner-If a rider wins the Womens beginner Overall, they must move up to the C class.
  • These rules can be changed or amended at the discretion of Race Promoters/Directors at any time.
  • Failure to follow all WeBe Racing rules can result in immediate removal from the premises.

How do I get a race/bike number with WeBe?

In order to reserve a bike number for the season, visit http://www.moto-tally.com/WeBe/SeriesRegistration.aspx

This will allow you to hold that number for the full season and you will have the first chance to re-register that number for the following season. If you do not reserve a bike number, you will be assigned a temporary bike number at the race-site. If you have a question about a certain number, please feel free to email us @ info@weberacing.com with any questions.  You can check number availability here  MotoTally > WeBe Racing > Bike Number List (moto-tally.com)
