The mini course starts the same way and weaves in and out of the tree sections.

Access to the race site is from a maintained gravel road that has amazing views as you climb out of the valley up to the race site. Once at the race site, the camping/parking areas are in a dry lakebed.

They are generally dirt pack and easy to traverse. Parking and camping are free.  There are serval areas to watch some of the racing action.  Especially the river crossing.

The town of Monte Vista is about 30minutes-1 hour from the race site. There are several convince and local food stores. There are a couple of choices for sleeping accommodations. one great spot is The Movie Manor Best Western Motel, 719-852-5921.  Fuel is available in town also. Please show them some love and support.
